Forest Minister K.B. Ganesh Kumar has said that he saw no reason to resign in the light of his party chairman sending in a letter to the Chief Minister seeking his removal from the Cabinet.

“What wrong have I done,” Mr. Ganesh Kumar asked while replying to questions on the issue at a news conference here on Wednesday. The Chief Minister had made him a Minister and it was for him to respond to the letter, Mr. Ganesh Kumar said.

Mr. Ganesh Kumar was initially unwilling for a discussion on the subject. Asked why he was looking a little wan, he quipped that he was not getting proper sleep. “Isn’t the Assembly session on,” the Minister quipped and brushed aside suggestions that it was on account of the letter sent to the Chief Minister Oommen Chandy by his father and Kerala Congress (B) chairman R. Balakrishna Pillai on Tuesday.
