Nisham taken to Bengaluru

March 05, 2015 12:00 am | Updated 05:47 am IST - Bengaluru:

Mohammed Nisham, who has been charged with the murder of a security guard in Thrissur, Kerala, has been brought to Bengaluru in connection with an attempt-to-murder case.

Nisham is named in two cases in the city. “He faces a case of attempt to murder under Section 307 of IPC for trying to run over a person in Cubbon Park police limits. He will be questioned,” Additional Commissioner of Police (Law and Order) Alok Kumar said.

The other case pertains to a rape charge by a model, sources said.

KAAPA provision

Thrissur Staff Reporter writes: Nisham was taken to Bengaluru when a report for slapping KAAPA provisions on him was under consideration of the District Collector. The district court was to consider his bail plea on Saturday. Meanwhile, there is an allegation that the Peramangalam police had delayed procedures to submit evidence before former City Police Commissioner Jacob Job for imposing KAAPA on Nisham.
