An elephant cub holding a paddle aboard a canoe is the mascot of the 64th Nehru Trophy boat race to be held at Punnamada here on August 13. The mascot has been designed by Sajith Parameswaran, a journalist.
The organisers have invited entries from students for suggesting a name for the mascot. Students up to Class 12 can send entries to the Convener, Nehru Trophy Boat Race Publicity Committee, District Information Office, Civil Station, Alappuzha 688 001. The entries should reach the convener before 5 p.m. on July 30.
