Naval Academy bids adieu to Vice Admiral

The Indian Naval Academy at Ezhimala in Kannur has bid farewell to its Commandant Vice Admiral M.P. Muralidharan who has been appointed new Chief of Personnel of the Navy.

Vice Admiral Muralidharan was greeted by officers and sailors lined up on either side of the road to bid farewell to him at a ceremonial pulling out parade by Naval officers at the Naval Academy on Wednesday morning. Deputy Commandant Rear Amiral Kapil Gupta and Academy Principal Rear Admiral Bhaktavalsala were present at the ceremony.

Vice-Admiral Muralidharan had been the Commandant of the Academy when it was commissioned in January last by Prime Minister Manmohan Singh. With his appointment as Chief of Personnel, he would move over to the Naval Headquarters in New Delhi.
