One more person, reportedly a member of the gang that allegedly murdered Paul Muthoot George, was arrested on Tuesday. The said person, Sony alias Ramesh, was absconding ever since the murder and is the 12th accused in the case.

According to K. His arrest was recorded in Alappuzha on Tuesday and he will be produced before the Ramankary Judicial First Class Magistrate Court around 4 p.m.

Sony, a close associate of first accused Jayachandran, the leader of the gang of hired goons that was traveling from Changanassery to Alappuzha and killed Paul during an altercation, was one of the two accused who were evading the police ever since the murder. The 13th accused, Prakash, also a member of Jayachandran’s gang, is still at large.
