The hearing on the bail application submitted by Om Prakash and Rajesh Puthenpalam, accused in the Paul Muthoot George murder case, has been posted to December 16.
Alappuzha Sessions Judge E. Mytheen Kunju, posted the hearing on the case to December 16 on Tuesday, after the police and prosecution failed to present the case diary before the court. The defense counsel, who pointed out that the bail application was submitted 18 days ago, argued that it was a gross failure on the part of the prosecution that the case diary could not be presented before the court after all these days.
The court, while posting the hearing to a further date, has said that it would have to take a decision on the bail plea after hearing only the defense counsel’s argument, if the case diary was not presented even then.
