Murder charge: 4 BJP workers arrested

The police on Sunday arrested four Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) workers in connection with the murder of Communist Party of India (Marxist) worker C.V. Dhanaraj at Payyannur here on July 11. The Payyannur police arrested Prajithlal, 21; M. Vaishakh, 21; Vattakunnam Anoop, 21; and Sukesh, 24. The police said they would be produced in court on Monday.

Dhanaraj was hacked to death inside his house at Karanthat in Ramanthali panchayat, in front of his family at night. Within hours a BJP worker and autorickshaw driver C.K. Ramachandran was stabbed to death in front of his family.
