The technical snag in the remote-controlled underwater vehicle (RCUV) while undertaking the survey of the Mullaperiyar dam a month ago is being corrected, said a senior official of the Irrigation Department on Tuesday.

He said the survey was likely to resume on Wednesday. It is not a major technical problem, he said adding that experts from the Central Soil and Materials Research Station were rectifying it.

The empowered committee on the Mullaperiyar dispute appointed by the Supreme Court formed the expert team to conduct the survey to analyse the present condition of the century-old dam.
