Idukki Collector G.R. Gokul has issued notice to Joice George, MP, to appear before him on February 6 with all documents related to his landholding at Kottakambur.

Devikulam Subcollector V.R. Premkumar had on November 9 cancelled the ownership rights of 28 acres owned by Mr. George, his family, and others at Kottakambur.

It was alleged that the revenue land was acquired by creating fake power of attorney in the name of Tamil Nadu residents.

In addition to Mr. George, seven others had also been issued notice by the District Collector.

Memorandum

The MP had submitted a memorandum to Revenue Minister E. Chandrasekharan, who advised him to give an appeal to the District Collector, who is the appealing authority.
