Monsoon revs up in State

Kerala is set for a fresh wet spell as the southwest monsoon activity regains momentum after a brief hiatus.

With the Met Centre here predicting heavy rainfall (7 to 11 cm) all along the State till Tuesday, the Disaster Management Department has warned of the possibility of landslips in hilly tracts.

IMD forecast

The India Meteorology Department (IMD) has forecast widespread, heavy to very heavy rainfall at isolated places in Kerala till Thursday under the influence of an offshore trough along the coastal region from south Gujarat to Kerala.
