Mrithasanjeevani, the government’s deceased donor organ donation programme, will now have a glamorous face.

Actor Mohanlal has come forward to lend his face to promote Mrithasanjeevani, which has been giving a fresh lease of life to many with end-stage chronic diseases through organ donation.

Mohanlal will be the programme’s goodwill ambassador and promote the concept “Share Organs, Save Lives”. The government has officially approved the concept, official sources said.

The actor volunteered to lend his face for this humanitarian programme after learning for himself, how organ donation from deceased donors can save lives.
