Actor Mohanlal on Monday called on Nair Service Society (NSS) general secretary G. Sukumaran Nair at Perunna.

While the media were taken by surprise, the general secretary said the actor had expressed his desire to visit the NSS headquarters a few days ago.

This was his first visit to Perunna.

The actor, who arrived by 10.20 a.m., held a closed door meeting with the NSS leader. Later, reacting to the media grapevine that the visit was part of a mission on reinducting actor and Kerala Congress(B) legislator K.B. Ganesh Kumar into the Cabinet, the general secretary said it was only a courtesy visit.

“There is noting political in it,” he said.

Mr. Mohanlal offered floral tributes at the Mannam Samadhi and also visited the Mannam Art Gallery and Museum before leaving the NSS headquarters by 11.30 am.

The actor was accompanied by producer Suresh Kumar, actor P. Sreekumar, and Kerala State Film Akademi member Krishnaprasad.
