A biography on acclaimed thinker-writer M.N. Vijayan, who finds pride of place in the progressive movement of the State, was released here on Sunday to mark his 8th death anniversary.

The book, published by Kerala Bhasha Institute and authored by journalist K. Balakrishnan, delves deep into Vijayan’s views on fighting communal fascism. The book elaborates the ‘unceremonious’ exit of Vijayan as the editor of the Deshabhimani weekly. The book also details the various internal conflicts within the CPI(M) and the observations and remarks made by Vijayan through his articles appeared in the Padom monthly. The book was released by academician K.P. Narendran by handing over a copy to the late writer’s daughter V.S. Suneetha on Sunday.
