The jailed People’s Democratic Party (PDP) leader Abdul Nasir Maudany has said that he stood by his decision not to enter electoral politics.

At a press conference here on Tuesday, PDP working chairman Poonthura Siraj said Mr. Maudany had conveyed this decision to him and other PDP leaders when they had called on him at the Bangalore Parapana Agrahara prison where he is at present detained in connection with the Bangalore serial bomb blasts case.

Mr. Siraj also said the PDP will not be in the fray from any constituency this time.
