A five-day religious congregation of the Believers Church began at the Church grounds at Thottabhagom, near Thiruvalla, on Wednesday afternoon.
Metropolitan of the Mar Thoma Syrian Church of Malabar Joseph Mar Thoma inaugurated the annual religious meet.
Bishop K.P. Yohannan, head of the Believers Church, presided over the inaugural function.
Joseph Mar Barnabas Episcopa inaugurated the social welfare schemes of the church. Bishop Samuel Mathew, Bishop Simon John, Fr. Paulose Parekkara Corepiscopa, and Fr. Daniel Johnson would address different sessions at the five-day meet.
The meet will conclude on Sunday.
