Chief Minister Oommen Chandy said here on Wednesday that the government had full trust in Finance Minister K.M. Mani and he would be presenting the next State Budget for the government.
Responding to questions from the media at his weekly Cabinet briefing, the Chief Minister said the allegations against the Finance Minister were baseless and he had expressed his confidence in Mr. Mani before. Though accusations were being levelled left and right, none had come forward to substantiate them. In fact, some bar owners were denying that they had paid bribes to Mr. Mani while their association president Biju Ramesh had altered his allegations. The government would respond if anyone stood by their allegations.
He said that police investigations into allegations levelled by Mr. Ramesh were taking the right course.
