Man, son killed in accident

A 50-year-old man and his son were killed when the scooter in which they were travelling was hit by a mini-bus at Gwalimukha town on the Karnataka-Kerala border on Thursday.

The accident occurred around 7 a.m. Abdul Rahiman and his son Siddiq, 22, were knocked down by a mini-bus carrying Sabarimala pilgrims from Karnataka killing the youth on the spot, sources said.

The victims were residents of Adukkam Kadama falling under the Adoor police station limits.

The bodies were brought to the General Hospital here for a post mortem examination.

Siddiq was making last-minute arrangements to leave for a Gulf nation to seek employment.
