A man was hacked to death by his younger brother here, the police said. The deceased was identified as Joy, 58, of Chittakkattu House, Elikkulam near Ponkunnam. His younger brother, Tomy, 54, was arrested. Both were drunk when the murder was committed, the police said.
Joy, a rubber tapper in Mangaluru, had reached home on Friday. The two brothers drank together at Joy’s house and later at Tomy’s residence. Following an altercation, Tomy and hacked his brother to death with an axe, the police said.
