Life Insurance Corporation (LIC) agents will go on strike on Friday demanding withdrawal of the insurance Bill, abandoning the move for foreign direct investment in the insurance sector, and repeal of the service charge on policy and commission, among others.

LIC Agents’ Coordination Committee general conveners P.G. Dileep and K. Ramachandran said in a release here on Wednesday that the agents would not transact any business on Friday. The strike had been called in support of the national strike of LIC agents called on February 20 and 21.
