KSU opposes community-based organisations

Interference of leaders of community-based organisations and religious leaders in the affairs of various political parties as well as the government should be stopped, said V.S. Joy, Kerala Students Union State president.

Addressing a press conference here on Wednesday, Mr. Joy said politicians interfering in the affairs of religious and community-based organisations too should be checked.

He said the three-day KSU State camp to be held at Charalkunnu near Kozhencherry from November 16 to 18 will discuss the issue threadbare.

The Union Minister of State for Overseas Indian Affairs, Vayalar Ravi, would inaugurate the KSU State camp on November 16 afternoon. National Students Union president, Rohit Choudhary, will be the guest of honour at the inaugural function.

Chief Minister, Oommen Chandy, will address the camp on November 18 and the Kerala Pradesh Committee president, Ramesh Chennithala, will inaugurate the valedictory function, later, in the afternoon.

Congress leaders including Sasi Tharoor and P.C. Chacko, and party leaders would address the three-day meet.
