KSSP seminar on Aranmula airport project

The Kerala Sastra Sahitya Parishad (KSSP) is organising a seminar on ‘Aranmula airport project and Kerala's development' at Rejeena Auditorium, Aranmula, on Saturday afternoon.

In a statement issued here on Friday, KSSP district secretary N.S. Rajendrakumar said M.K. Prsasad, former president of KSSP, would inaugurate the seminar at 2 p.m.

Scientist R.V.G. Menon would deliver a speech on ‘Land use and Kerala's development' and V.S. Vijayan, director, Dr Salim Ali Foundation, would deliver a speech on ‘Sustainable development and environment.'

M. Gopakumar, lawyer, would talk on various aspects of the proposed private airport project and T.P. Sankar, KSSP State general secretary, would deliver the introductory speech.

Peelipose Thomas, member, All-India Congress Committee; K. Ananthagopan, Communist Party of India (Marxist) district secretary; P. Prasad, Communist Party of India district secretary; V.N. Unni, Bharatiya Janata Party district president; K.S. Suresh, Palliyoda-Pallivilakku Samrakshana Samiti president; N.K. Sukumaran Nair, Pampa Parirakshana Samiti general secretary; P. Induchoodan, Padasekhara Samiti president; K.V. Sambadevan, Palliyoda Seva Sanghom president; Prasad Verumkal, Bhoomi Samrakshana Janakeeya Vedi president; and R. Rajashekharan Pillai, KSSP zonal president, would address the seminar.

P.S. Jayachandran, KSSP district president, would preside over the inaugural function, the statement said.
