KSRTC staff plan strike on August 27

Pro-Left Democratic Front (LDF) trade unions in the Kerala State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC) have decided to go in for a 48-hour strike beginning August 27.

Announcing this, KSRT Employees Association president Vaikom Viswan said the strike was to protest against the government’s pampering of private bus operators on long-distance routes and the KSRTC management’s failure to resolve various issues affecting the employees.
