Kerala Excise and Labour Minister T.P. Ramakrishnan has been hospitalised in Kozhikode after he suffered a heart attack.

67-year-old Mr. Ramakrishnan was admitted to the Intensive care Unit of Kozhikode Medical College Hospital on March 12, after he complained of chest pain, hospital sources said on Monday.

A senior doctor of the Cardiology department of KMCH said the Minister underwent angioplasty after two blocks were detected in his arteries, they said.

“The Minister is under observation at the super-speciality block of the hospital,” he said.
