KAU offers integrated courses in climate change, biotechnology

Kerala Agricultural University (KAU) has notified the admission procedure for its five-year integrated courses in Climate Change Adaptation and Biotechnology; B.Sc. (Hons.) Cooperation, Banking and Management; and diploma courses in Agricultural Sciences and Organic Agriculture.

The five-year B.Sc.-M.Sc. (Integrated) courses in Climate Change Adaptation and Biotechnology conducted by the university offer opportunities to students pursuing a challenging career in science.

Admission to the Climate Change Adaptation course, offered at ACCER (Academy of Climate Change Education and Research) situated on the university main campus at Vellanikkara, Thrissur, is limited to 20 students a year.

The integrated programme in Biotechnology, conducted at the College of Agriculture, Vellayani, is another course that offers the facility to acquire undergraduate and postgraduate degrees simultaneously.

The B.Sc. (Cooperation, Banking and Management) course is meant for students pursuing careers in banking and management sectors.

10 semesters

The duration is five years, comprising 10 semesters. The course fee amounts to Rs.50,000 per semester. ACCER has a memorandum of understanding with the University of Western Australia (UWA), ICRISAT, Cusat, KVASU, and KFRI for collaborative research and education.
