Kasaragod to have cricket stadium in two years

On 8.26 acres of land at Mundottu in Badiadukka panchayat

: Amid a festive ambience, Industries Minister P.K. Kunhalikutty on Friday inaugurated the construction of Kerala Cricket Association’s (KCA) cricket stadium at Mundottu in Badiadukka grama panchayat.

The state-of-the art international stadium is coming up on 8.26 acres land of the KCA, 9 km from here.

The stadium modelled on the lines of those in New Zealand and Australia will be ready in two years.

Provisions for club house, gymnasium, swimming pool, football ground, and volleyball and tennis courts will be readied adjacent to the stadium. Board of Control for Cricket in India vice president and KCA president T.C. Mathew presided over the function. P. Karunakaran, MP, addressed the gathering.
