The district meet of Kerala Karshaka Sanghom will be held at the Royal auditorium (Balan Vaidyan Nagar) here on Friday and Saturday, according to sanghom leaders, K.P.C. Kurup, Omalloor Sankaran and V.K. Purushothaman Pillai.
Addressing a press conference here on Wednesday, they said the Karshaka Sanghom State secretary, C.K.P. Padmanabhan, would inaugurate the two-day meet at the Royal auditorium at 10.30 am on Friday.
Mr. S.K. Achari, Sanghom State joint secretary, will present the organisational report and Mr. Omalloor Sankaran, district secretary, will present the district report on the occasion.
A rally of farm workers would be held in the town followed by a public meeting at the private bus stand on Saturday afternoon.
Mr. M. Vijayakumar, Law Minister, will inaugurate the public meeting at the private bus stand. Mr. C.K.P. Padmanabhan, Mr. George Mathew, Ms. G. Ponnamma, sanghom leaders, Mr. R.Unnikrishna Pillai, Mr K. Ananthagopan, Mr. V.K. Purshothaman Pillai, CPI(M) leaders, will also address the meet.
