Solar energy will power all the eight campuses of Kannur University in the next couple of years, Vice Chancellor M.K. Abdul Khader has said.

Addressing a press conference on Wednesday, Dr. Khader said the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) accreditation had been granted to the university.

He added that by the next visit of the NAAC peer team for renewing the accreditation, all the eight campuses in Wayanad, Kannur and Kasaragod districts would have solar power installations to meet their power requirements.

Varsity has entered into tie-up with ANERT for installation of solar panels on its campuses
