Kanam elected CPI Kerala secretary

Kanam Rajendran, national executive committee member of the CPI, has been elected new secretary of its Kerala unit at the 22nd State conference of the party here on Monday. A tough stand taken by the party’s central leadership appears to have saved the organisation from going in for a division to select the party chief, which would have been an unprecedented step.
