Job fair opened

Labour Minister Shibu Baby John has said that students and parents should not give too much importance to social status and honour connected with jobs.

Inaugurating the ‘Niyukthi 2015’ job fair organised by the District Employability Centre at the College of Commerce here on Saturday, the Minister said the biggest unemployment rate in the State was among engineering graduates. The Minister said the companies participating in the job fair had promised job opportunities to 4,000 aspirants in the district. As many as 8,000 job aspirants registered for the fair, he said.
