The first batch of Haj pilgrims under the State Haj Committee will leave for Saudi Arabia on September 25.
Saudi Arabian Airlines will carry 300 pilgrims on the inaugural Haj flight from Karipur Airport, the only embarkation point for the pilgrims from the State, Lakshadweep, and Mahe. Union Minister of State for External Affairs E. Ahamed will flag off the flight at 9.35 a.m. on September 25.
The second flight will take off at 4.05 p.m. the same day. There will be two flights every day except on October 9, the last day.
Haj Committee chairman T.M. Bapu Musliar said Saudi Arabian Airlines would operate 29 services to carry 8,471 pilgrims.
Passenger manifesto
The Haj Committee released the passenger manifesto on Wednesday, assigning the time and date of journey to the pilgrims.

The State Haj camp will begin at Haj House, Karipur, on September 23. Pilgrims will start reaching the camp on September 24. Indian Union Muslim League State president Syed Hyderali Shihab Thangal will inaugurate the camp.
Mr. Bapu Musliar said meetings of different agencies, including that of airport officials and volunteers, would be held on Thursday. The Haj Committee would hold its meeting on September 12.
The domestic passenger terminal at Karipur airport would be used for Haj operations, he said.
