INA Deputy Commandant takes charge

Rear Admiral M.D. Suresh has assumed charge as the Deputy Commandant of Indian Naval Academy (INA) at Ezhimala here.

Announcing this in a press release here on Tuesday, the INA authorities said that he had taken charge on July 14. An alumnus of the National Defence Academy at Khadakvasla, Defence Services Staff College at Wellington in the Nilgiris, College of Naval Warfare in Mumbai, he has over thirty years of experience in the Indian Navy.

He had been a member of the ‘Around the World Sailing Expedition’ on sailing vessel ‘Samudra’ during 1988-89. Rear Admiral Suresh has held a mix of operational and staff appointments, the release said.
