IIM-K ties up with brokerage firm

September 20, 2010 08:00 pm | Updated 08:00 pm IST - Kozhikode:

The Indian Institute of Management-Kozhikode (IIM-K) has entered into a tie-up with the premier brokerage house ‘Inditrade,' promoted by JRG Securities Ltd.

This is the first such arrangement by any IIM in the country, a spokesperson for the IIM-K said on Monday.

Inditrade has tied up with ‘Financially Yours,' the students' finance interest group at the institute, and engaged 40 postgraduate management students at the institute to perform equity research for the company.

The best five among them will be provided with an opportunity to perform trading at the bourses for the company.

The collaboration was expected to enhance the students' understanding of the financial performance of various companies across sectors in the industry and provide a hands-on experience of share trading for brokerage firms, the spokesperson said.
