IGNOU begins admission to various courses

The Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) has announced admissions to the July 2017 admission cycle.

A press note issued here on Friday said the last date for submitting applications to courses other than certificate courses is July 31. The last date for submitting applications for certificate courses is July 30.

The university is offering master’s and bachelor’s degree programmes in various subjects, including Rural Development, Computer Applications, Tourism Studies, English, Hindi, Public Administration, History, Political Science, Adult Education, and Library and Information Science. The varsity is also offering postgraduate diploma, diploma, postgraduate certificate and certificate programmes.

IGNOU also offers a six-month Bachelor Preparatory Programme (BPP) in English, Hindi, and various regional languages, including Malayalam. Educational aspirants who missed out on the formal 10+2 schooling can seek to join the degree programmes courses on completion of the BPP, a press note said.
