With good inflow from the Periyar, water level in the Idukki reservoir rose to 2,387 ft on Thursday. The water level on the same day last year was 2,374 ft. The dam now has water level which is 82.75 per cent of the total reservoir capacity. An official at the Dam Monitoring Cell, Cheruthoni, said that 35 mm rainfall was recorded on Thursday and the water level was showing an upward trend.
