Hundreds pay tribute to Shan

Hundreds of people from various walks of life paid tribute to singer and music director Shan Johnson at her residence at Chelakkottukara, near Thrissur, on Sunday.

Shan, 29, daughter of late music director Johnson, was found dead at her apartment at Kodambakkam in Chennai on Friday. The body was brought by road from Chennai to Thrissur.

Hundreds of music lovers thronged Shan’s house at Chelakkottukara on Sunday morning. Among those who paid tributes were former minister M.A. Baby and Kerala Pradesh Congress Committee general secretary Padmaja Venugopal. Shan was laid to rest at St. Sebastian Church cemetery at Nellikkunnu on Sunday afternoon.

In a short career, Shan had proved herself as a singer, lyricist and music director. She also had her own music band.
