The Kerala High Court has asked the parents of Vishnu, the secretary of the SFI unit in MES College, Ponnani, to file a statement on whether they have send their ward to the college for educating him or for political activities.
It was on a contempt of court case regarding the student agitation that the Division Bench of the court issued the order on Friday.
The State submitted that the court's directive to remove the temporary shed from near the college building was complied with and the flags and shed were removed by SFI activists.
Meanwhile, Mr. Vishnu has approached the High Court seeking to get the court's observations against him removed.
Mr. Vishnu submitted that he was made a party to the litigation on October 3 though he had no connection whatsoever with the case. No person who has any connection with the case could be made a party to the contempt of court case, he submitted.
