HC sets aside finance wing report

April 14, 2017 12:35 am | Updated 12:35 am IST - Kochi

The Kerala High Court has set aside a report of the finance wing of the government recommending cancellation of appointment of Premnath Ravindranath, general manager (Finance and Marketing), Kerala Financial Corporation, Thiruvananthapuram, and to conduct fresh selection to the post.

The finance wing recommended cancellation as it found irregularity in the appointment. It also found that the qualification fixed for the post of general manager (Finance) was improper and that the post was filled with undue haste without government sanction.

The court quashed the recommendations on a writ petition filed by Mr. Premnath challenging the report.
