Guruvayurappan award for Kalamandalam Sivan Namboodiri

Koodiyattom exponent Kalamandalam Sivan Namboodiri has been selected for the Guruvayurappan Award, instituted by the Guruvayur Devaswom.

Devaswom Minister Kadannapally Ramachandran will present the award which carries a purse of Rs. 10,000 and a citation, at a function in Guruvayur on September 11.

A committee comprising Kalamandalam Girija, Jayaraj Warrier, M.P. Surendran, T.R. Haari and A.V. Chandran selected the awardee.
