The two-day visit of Governor P. Sathasivam at the Indian Naval Academy (INA) at Ezhimala here concluded on Monday.
Informing this here on Monday, an INA press release said the Governor was received by Vice Admiral Girish Luthra, Flag Officer Commanding-in-Chief, Southern Naval Command, and Rear Admiral M.D. Suresh, officiating Commandant of the INA. He was accompanied by his wife Saraswathi Sathasivam.
The release said the Governor addressed the cadets of the INA on the topic of ‘Leadership challenges for Young India.’
He highlighted the preparations to be made by the young generation for overcoming future challenges. The Governor also interacted with the cadets socially during a ceremonial Mess Night held in his honour, the release said.
On Monday, the Governor reviewed a ceremonial Guard of Honour by the cadets of the INA. He was formally briefed on various aspects of infrastructure development and the training processes at the INA.
The Governor also visited various training facilities such as simulators, seamanship trainer, training areas, cadets’ squadrons, firing range, outdoor training facilities, library and technical laboratories, among others.
He left for Kochi in the afternoon.
