Noted film maker, Babu Thiruvalla has announced his new movie venture with a socially relevant theme of communal amity and community living.

Mr Babu, award-winning director of the movies `Oru Minnaminunginte Nurunguvettom’ and `Thaniye’, said his next movie would be `Thanichalla Njan’ (I am not alone) narrating the heartrending tale of an elderly Namboodiri woman who was rescued from the corridors of death by a Muslim woman.

The storyline is based on a real life story and both the protagonists are still alive. The story stems from the real life experiences of Razia Beevi, presently the Ambalappuzha grama panchayat vice-president who had lend a helping hand to the 75-year old Chellamma Antharjanam from the railway track at Amblappuzha 10 years ago.

Mr Babu said the puja of the movie would be held at a communal harmony meet at the St John’s Cathedral hall in Thiruvalla on December 18 afternoon. Geevarghese Mar Coorilos, Metropolitan of the Niranom diocese of the Jacobite Syrian Church; Akeeramon Kalidasa Bhattathiri, Tantri of Thiruvalla Sreevallabha Temple, Mohammed Amin Hasaani, Imam of Changanacherry Juma Masjid; Fr Abraham Mulamoottil, Pushpagiri group of institutions chairman; Razia Beevi and Chellamma Antharjanam will address the august function, according to Mr Babu.

Prominent socio-cultural and political leaders and cine personalities will also attend the function.

KPAC Lalitha and Kalpana will give life to the Antharjanam and Razia in the movie, said Mr Babu. The caste lineup include Jagathi Sreekumar, Asokan and Chali Pala. The movie will be produced by Avagama and Thai Productions.

Lenin Rajednran, Kaviyur Sivaprasad, Blessie and Jayaraj, all cine personalities, will also address the meeting.

Bobby Avagama, co-producer, M.P. Gopalakrishnan, Thiruvalla Vinodkumar and Suresh Thiruvalla, organising committee leaders, also attended the press meet.
