Mafia gangs have accumulated paddy lands in Aranmula, alleged Mr P.C. George, Government Chief whip.

Talking to reporters at Sabari Baalashram at Aranmula on Wednesday, Mr George alleged that a vast expanse of paddy fields have been converted in Aranmula and the so-called ‘green politicians’ have been keeping a blind eye on it.

He said Chief Minister, Oommen Chandy, should take the initiative to resolve the ongoing issue over the proposed private airport at Aranmula by holding talks with all the parties concerned.

Mr George alleged that the recently emerged ‘green politics’ in the State was part of the factional feud in the Congress(I) and that they were targeting him.

Mr George said whatever he had said were the stand taken by the Kerala Congress.

The Government Chief Whip also offered Onasadya (feast) to the inmates of the Sabari Balashramam of the Vishwa Hindu Parishad at Aranmula on Wednesday.
