George expresses regret over remarks

August 07, 2012 09:04 pm | Updated 09:04 pm IST - THIRUVANANTHAPURAM:

Government Chief Whip P.C. George has written to the Dheevara Sabha expressing regret over his remarks made in reference to the sabha in the course of his verbal duel with Congress member of the Assembly T.N. Pratapan, if that had hurt anyone.

In a letter to sabha leader V. Dinakaran, Mr. George said his statements in reference to the stand taken by Mr. Pratapan in the Nelliampathy issue had been misunderstood.

It was not directed at the Dheevara community. The issue between Congress leaders, including Mr. Pratapan, and himself was altogether different.
