The annual festival at Sree Parthasarathy Temple at Adoor came to a close with a ceremonial Gajamela followed by Aratt ceremony on Friday.
As many as 21 caparisoned elephants were paraded in the Gajamela and ceremonial procession held in the town in the afternoon.
Thrichendamangalam temple
Revenue Minister, Thiruvanchoor Radhakrishnan, inaugurated the newly constructed Nalambalam at Thrichendamangalam Mahadevar Temple at Peringanad near Adoor on Friday.
Health Minister, Adoor Prakash, presided the function.
Swami Poornamruthananda Puri of Mata Amruthanandamayi Madhom delivered the benedictory speech. The Swami also dedicated the Nalambalam by lighting a ceremonial lamp.
Mr Chittayam Gopakumar,MLA, Mr Kalanjoor Madhu, Nair Service Society director board member and A.P. Jayan,CPI leader, also spoke.
