A children’s municipal council came into being in Malappuram municipality on Wednesday. Kudumbasree is guiding the council under the banner of the Community Development Society (CDS).
Municipal vice chairperson K.M. Girija administered the oath to all members of the council. Members were chosen at different levels and were given training in parliamentary affairs. Children’s municipal chairperson Mumtaz presided.
