Two school students displayed their skill in water painting through 35 paintings during a three-day show that concluded on Saturday at the Sopanam Art Gallery here.
Roshan T., a class 10 student at the Government Model Boys High School, and Vishal V. Nair, in class 8 at Infant Jesus Anglo Indian Higher Secondary School, have beautifully translated their surroundings on canvas.
Ashtamudi Lake
The exhibits by Roshan, a native of Kollam, display a different side of the beauty of the Ashtamudi Lake, the Tangasseri lighthouse, the Punalur hanging bridge, and the Jadayu para apart from a range of scenes from nature.
Vishal, who is a native of Thrissur, has created the Vadakumnatha and Peruvanam temples, the banks of the Bharathapuzha, and the Athirapally falls on canvas in water colour.
Both the students are taking forward their talent under the tutelage of noted artist Asramam Santosh.
The painting exhibition was inaugurated by Kerala Shabdam managing editor B.A. Rajakrishnan.
