Four killed as speeding bus falls on to a car

Four persons were killed and 14 others injured as a speeding bus hit and fell on to a car after hitting two other cars at Pulichode near Vaidyarangadi in Ramanattukara in the district this morning.

The deceased have been identified as Muhammed Basheer (24), son of Moidheenkutty of Chakkingal house in Anthiyurunnu in Malappuram district and an employee of the private bus, and three other persons travelling in the car, Muneera (27) of Karathodi house in Kondotti in Malappuram district, her one year old son Tintu and Muhammed Jamsheer (24) son of Rafeeq of Pullipparambil in Chelembra in Ramanattukara. The injured had been admitted to the Kozhikode Medical College hospital and at private hospitals.

The traffic in the area was disrupted for nearly an hour.
