High Court Judge B. Kemal Pasha presented this year’s V. Gangadharan Memorial Trust Award to former Chairman of the Indian Space Research Organisation K. Radhakrishnan at a function held at the Kadappakada Sports Club and Reading Room complex here on Sunday.
The award carries a cash prize of Rs.50,000 and a citation. Addressing the gathering, Mr. Pasha said that an outstanding person was the result of 10 per cent talent and 90 per cent hard work. “Dr. Radhakrishan is one among such personalities. One of the secrets behind Dr. Radhakrishnan’s success is that he had never surrendered to defeats,” Mr. Pasha added.
The function was addressed by State assistant secretary of the Communist Party of India K. Prakash Babu, P.K. Gurudasan, MLA, and Mayor V. Rajendrababu.
Trust chairman G. Sathyababu presided and secretary R.S. Babu welcomed the gathering.
