Flower show in city from November 3

The Kanakakkkunnu Palace grounds will dazzle in a riot of colours from November 3 with the annual flower show getting under way.

Organised jointly by the Malankara Social Service Society and Kerala Today, the show will feature a variety of flowering and fruit-bearing plants that are native to different Indian States. Orchids, tulips, and roses will be the major attractions of the show.

The show will also have installations using flowers, a fashion show, and selection of ‘flower king’ and ‘flower queen’.

Food fete

An added attraction will be ‘selfie with superstar’. Cut flowers’ show and landscaping have also been included in the fare, besides games, Payasamela, and Malabar food festival.

The flower show will conclude on November 15, the organisers told a press conference held here on Tuesday.
