Flood waters recede from Sabarimala roads; Ayyappa temple witness moderate rush

November 22, 2010 02:41 pm | Updated 02:41 pm IST - PATHANAMTHITTA:

The flood situation in the district has been under control with a respite in the torrential rains on Monday.

Vehicular traffic on the Mannarakulanji-Pampa main trunk road to Sabarimala and on the Erumely-Kanamala-Chalakkayam Road has been resumed with the flood waters receding from the roads at Narikkuzhy and Kanamala by early Monday morning.

The vehicular traffic on both the roads was disrupted for a few hours following the inundation of the roads at Narikkuzhy near Kumbalampoika and at Kanamala on Sunday night.

Lord Ayyappa temple witnessed a moderate rush on Monday and the climate at Sabarimala was normal in the forenoon.
