Finale of Jamia Wahabia golden jubilee fete

The golden jubilee celebrations of Jamia Wahabia Arabia at Wandoor will come to an end with a four-day programme beginning on Thursday.

Veteran teachers who served more than 50 years in Dars teaching will be honoured at the function. “This will be a unique function as it will bring together 20-odd top-notch scholars,” said Sayed Abdul Jabbar Shihab Thangal and A. Najeeb Moulavi, president and principal respectively of Jamia Wahabia.

Minister for Tourism A.P. Anil Kumar will inaugurate the function on Thursday. M.I. Shanavas, MP, will be the chief guest. M.P. Mustafal Faizi will inaugurate Friday’s programmes in which two books will be released.

M. Ummer, MLA, will inaugurate a history seminar on Saturday. Historians Hussain Randathani, Abdurahman Mangad and Zainuddin Mandalamkunnu will speak.

P.K. Basheer, MLA, will inaugurate a new generation meet. T.A. Ahamed Kabeer, MLA, will inaugurate a mahal conference. Minister for Industries P.K. Kunhalikutty will inaugurate a session on contemporary India. Minister for Urban Affairs Manjalamkuzhi Ali will inaugurate an expatriates’ meet on Sunday. It will be followed by an alumni meet, a Kannada meet, and a Tamil meet. Syed Hyderali Shihab Thangal, IUML State unit president, will lay the foundation for Jamia Wahabia junior college on Sunday afternoon.
